Get ready to savor the rich flavors and heavenly aromas as we visit some of the most delightful chocolate destinations. Our adventure begins at the charming Chado Tea Room, where chocolate and tea come together in perfect harmony. Sip on their exclusive chocolate-infused tea and enjoy a freshly baked chocolate scone—a delightful way to start our indulgent experience.
Next, enjoy lunch on your own at Philippe “The Original”. But don’t worry, we’ve got dessert covered with a mouthwatering chocolate brownie that will make your taste buds sing. After lunch, our sweet adventure continues as we visit Ethel M. Chocolates. From their impeccable craftsmanship to their daring fusion of chocolate and spirits, this iconic chocolatier takes you on a sensory adventure like no other.
Next, it’s on to Laderach, a Swiss chocolate paradise. Step into this chocolate haven and let the aromas of premium Swiss chocolate envelop your senses. Witness master chocolatiers expertly crafting exquisite chocolate creations, blending the cocoa with tantalizing flavors, before we indulge in a tasting of their signature chocolates.
Lastly, we’ll make our way to the vibrant Arts District, where an extraordinary chocolate experience awaits us at Salt & Straw. Prepare to be dazzled as our chocolate adventure reaches new heights at this renowned ice cream parlor. Here, we’ll enjoy Salt & Straw’s signature Chocolate Gooey Brownie Ice Cream. The richness of the chocolate, the lusciousness of the fudge, and the irresistible chewiness of the brownie chunks intertwine in a frozen masterpiece!

Bistros to Brushstrokes: A Taste of France with Curt Tucker

Experience the charm and elegance of France right here in Los Angeles. This exclusive tour takes you on a journey through French cuisine, culture, and art, blending gourmet flavors, historic markets, and world-class masterpieces. Morning at Monsieur Marcel, a beloved French-inspired destination within the Original Farmers Market. We stroll through a curated selection of imported wines, cheeses, chocolates, and gourmet specialties. Cheese Tasting – Enjoy a selection of renowned French cheeses. We enjoy a classic French Lunch – Indulge in cheese fondue, Boeuf Bourguignon, and other French delicacies in a lively bistro setting. The afternoon is spent at The Getty Center: A Journey Through French Art. The Getty is home to one of the finest collections of French Impressionist and Baroque art. We see stunning works by Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, Renoir, and Degas, capturing Parisian life and the beauty of France’s landscapes. Including Van Gogh’s Irises – Though Dutch, Van Gogh painted this masterpiece while in
Saint-Rémyde-Provence, France, creating one of the world’s most valuable and emotionally powerful paintings. The Decorative Arts of Versailles – Step into the grandeur of the 18th-century French aristocracy, with gilded furniture, elaborate chandeliers, and exquisite decorative arts from the reigns of Louis XIV, XV, and XVI. This one-day only experience is limited to 40 guests, ensuring an intimate and immersive journey through the flavors and artistic brilliance of France. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
To receive a refund we must be notified a minimum of 10 business days before the tour and be successful at reselling your ticket. There is a $10.00 administrative fee deducted from the refund. Due to unforeseen circumstances, LBCC may need to cancel a tour. If LBCC cancels the trip, full refunds are given.

DISABILITIES NOTICE
You must report any disability requiring special attention to the LBCC Senior Studies Program at the time the reservation is made. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of tour participants. It is strongly recommended that persons requiring specific assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of, and totally responsible for, providing the assistance. (This companion must also purchase a ticket). Neither LBCC or its personnel, nor its suppliers, may physically lift or assist persons into transportation vehicles nor provide individual assistance to tour members with special needs for walking, dining, or other routine activities. If a traveler thinks assistance may be needed during a trip, they should call 562-938-3047 to determine what assistance might reasonably be given.

TRANSPORTATION
Parking Permits are required on both campuses.
One day ($2.00 cash), and semester ($5.00 cash) permits are sold at the Center and at check-in on the day of the tour. There are also permit machines in the parking lots.
